Life can sometimes be rough, tough and unfair. As a result, many people find themselves struggling with difficulties or in distress at some point. Counselling, or psychotherapy, is a way to thoughtfully explore your current situation and to reflect on your options with a trained professional so that constructive changes can happen.
Deciding to see a counsellor or psychotherapist for the first time can feel like a confusing and nerve-wracking experience - who to choose, how to go about it, what to expect... I hope the information here will answer some of the questions you might have, but if there is anything else you want to ask, please feel free to contact me.
I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist with more than ten years' experience. I can offer one-to-one therapy or couple / marriage counselling on either a time-limited or longer-term basis, depending on your needs. My theoretical approach is person-centred.
If you want to make an appointment to see me or would like to ask any questions about the services I offer then you can get in touch either by calling my private telephone number (07990-520-805) or by emailing me through the confidential website contact form. I would normally arrange to meet you for a free initial consultation within two weeks of your contact. This meeting gives us both a chance to discuss your needs and to consider whether my approach is right for you. If we decide to work together following the initial consultation then my normal fee is £35 for a 60-minute session.
