What training and qualifications do you have?

I have an HNC in Integrative Counselling from Telford College and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling from the University of Strathclyde.  These were both part-time courses, each completed over two years of study.  I have also completed a Certificate in Counselling Supervision from PCT Britain.

In addition to these qualifications I have attended numerous short courses, presentations and workshops, further details of which can be found here.  These CPD workshops have included training on Pre-therapy with Dion van Werde, on difficult client processes (fragile and dissociated process) with Margaret Warner, and on existential contributions to person-centred training with Mick Cooper.

I am currently undertaking an MSc in Counselling at the University of Strathclyde.

What professional standards do you work to?

I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor / Psychotherapist, and therefore I work within the "BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy", and I am accountable to the "BACP Professional Conduct Procedure".  I am also a UKRC Registered Independent Counsellor.
